The CFS is committed to scholarly excellence in research as well as student education and training. Faculty who participate in the CFS are a healthy mixture of professionally active junior through internationally recognized senior faculty. We serve as editors or on editorial boards of major professional journals, on advisory boards and review panels for federal agencies and as officers of nationally internationally prominent freshwater societies. We actively engage undergraduate and graduate students in research projects to provide them with interdisciplinary experiences and broaden their career options.
